Poplars require regular pollarding, especially at this height

This very large and healthy Poplar tree had been pollarded a few years ago and was certainly ready for a re-trim.

It's a good, healthy tree and so we were able to climb, to carry out the work. It was certainly a bit chilly up there but we were soon done and back in the van for a nice warm cuppa!
