This very large cedar tree was starting to show signs of decay and had to go.

Standing at over 40 feet tall this cedar had probably been around for 35-40 years which for a cedar isn't really that old but this was fairly unusual as the trunk was probably smaller in diameter than we'd expect for a tree so tall. This could probably be for environmental reasons and perhaps contributed to its worsening condition.
After gaining the necessary permissions we carried out a full safety inspection and then scaled the tree to begin work on the limbs before reducing the trunk and then bringing in our stump grinder to enable replanting / turfing of the ground.
This will also have created a great deal more light within the property.
