Faced with a very large willow tree that was effectively dead, we first carried out a safety inspection and decided that the main trunks and limbs could be safely scaled, so no need for a platform on this occasion, even though it had begun to drop some smaller branches.
We quickly set to work on reducing the tree, which would have been a lovely example in its prime.
After getting the trunk down as close to ground level as possible, we set to work with the stump grinder to ensure there was no chance of regrowth and to prepare the ground for re-use.
All-in-all a good day's work.
