Sycamore trees can grow up to 35m high (115ft) but they also have a phenomenal early growth rate - as much as 60ft in 25 years! Seedlings can be seen popping up all over the place if not cleared quickly.

In this particular case, it's proximity to buildings meant this grand old tree had to come down. Being in a conservation area, application was made to the council, for its removal.

As you can see from the pictures, this Sycamore tree was safely and neatly removed.
