Dangerous Sycamores

These trees had previously been pollarded but regrowth had become dangerous

Pollarding is a way of controlling the height of a tree so that it doesn't outgrow its environment. Sycamores grow fast, can get very tall and live to a ripe old age so it's important pollarding is carried out regularly. The new branches on these trees had got a little out of hand but with some work on a very wet day, we made them safe again.
