A lovely big Poplar tree in a beautiful setting that needed a bit of TLC. Pollarding can look dramatic but the growth after this will be quite vigorous and will give the tree a really good shape.

Of the three main species of Poplar trees in the UK this is probably the fastest growing and can reach heights of 30 metres. It's an elegant and attractive tree that can be spreading or upright.
