Felling an Oak tree in Nottinghamshire

It's not often we have to fell an oak but this old tree was becoming dangerous

In close proximity to properties and gardens, this oak tree was dropping limbs and was in danger of toppling over in damp ground. Much of the soil around its roots had been eroded due to recent adverse weather and this made the situation even more precarious. There was the issue of possible damage to property or people and the tree wasn't generally in the best of condition so we had no option other than complete removal.
