Conifers can seem almost indestructible at times but they do have a lifespan and when they start to go it can get messy quickly.

This conifer was beginning to drop limbs and was certainly looking unsightly. It probably had a good innings, being a few decades old but with it being in close proximity to outbuildings in a busy garden, it was time to go.
